Small Engine Mechanic

Beacon Equipment – Canning Vale, WA
Beacon Equipment is seeking an experienced and motivated Small Engine Mechanic to join our team in Canning Vale on a full-time basis.
Working with leading brands including Stihl, John Deere, and Kioti, you will play a key role in servicing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of equipment used across the mining, agricultural, and power equipment industries.
About the Role
Your responsibilities will include:
- Diagnosing and repairing petrol, diesel, 2 strokes, hydraulic, and electrical faults
- Performing scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance
- Conducting inspections to minimise equipment breakdowns and downtime
- Maintaining accurate service records and documenting parts used
- Assisting with technical troubleshooting and workshop support
- Participating in occasional field service work
- Contributing to workshop efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard
About You
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- A relevant trade qualification or demonstrated industry experience
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
- Experience working with a variety of machinery and tools
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- The ability to work both independently and within a small team
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic
